Hoseok: 28 May Year 22

After we returned from the sea, we didn’t really contact each other. There was no particular reason. Seokjin and Taehyung seemed to have gotten into a fight and Jungkook took a different route home from us, but those things weren’t the reasons why we had become estranged. If that wasn’t it, then what was the issue? All things considered, I didn’t contact them first. There was no particular reason. Maybe that in itself was the reason. 

 

Come to think of it, there were a lot of sudden sandstorms that day. After Seokjin climbed the sea observatory and Taehyung followed him, we all looked up and watched them while using our hands to cover our eyes from the sun. I could feel a sense of uneasiness underneath the deja vu that this had all happened sometime before. “Hoseok, we’ve been to a beach before. To the place with the stone that was said to grant your wishes. Wasn’t that place similar to here?” Jimin said. I took a look at my surroundings. It was at that exact moment. I thought I saw Taehyung and Seokjin stumble as if they were going to fall off the sea observatory when suddenly a gust of wind blew sand everywhere. I covered my face with both my arms and closed my eyes tightly. I was scared that something was happening on top of the sea observatory, but I couldn’t even think about opening my eyes. 

 

As the wind died down, I looked up to see Seokjin climbing down the sea observatory. Taehyung was still standing on top, hanging his head and watching Seokjin climb down. Seokjin got in his car and started to leave. I took a step in that direction, but there was nothing else I could do at that point. 

 

We went back to Songju that night too. We didn’t have a place to stay or transportation home since Seokjin left without us. Namjoon was the first to tell us to just head back. Everyone had a disappointed look in their eyes but started walking. We didn’t know if we all wanted to tell Namjoon to continue our beach trip as planned, whatever needed to be done. But Namjoon suggested going home, and like that our trip ended. The beach trip we were so excited about ended up being ruined.
