Jungkook: 26 July Year 22

I secretly plucked some flowers from the hospital garden. I lowered my head because I kept smiling. The light of the midsummer sun was blinding. I knocked on the hospital door, but there was no response. I knocked again and opened the door a little. It was cool inside the hospital room for some reason. And there was no one. The room was buried in a quiet darkness.

 

I came back out of the hospital room. When I met her, I was rolling myself in the wheelchair down the hall feeling tired and frustrated. I was barely able to stop in time for the girl with a single ponytail because she appeared so suddenly. She stood there. As I left the hospital, I saw a bench in the distance. I remembered us sitting together there one day, listening to music and drawing. We shared strawberry milk on the rooftop over there. The wild flowers were still in my hands, but now I had no one to give them to.
