Jungkook: 11 April Year 22

I walked on top of the rooftop handrail. I was on an unfinished building that was no longer going to be completed. A darkness filled me up from the end of my foot as I lifted it into the air. Below the handrail, there was a city stretching out so far it made me dizzy. The neon lights, car horns, and dusty air swirled in the darkness. I got dizzy and stumbled. I spread out my arms to catch my balance. Then I had a thought. Just one step. Just one more step and that would be the end. I faced the darkness and tried leaning forward a little. The darkness spread from the bottom of my feet and started to swallow me. I closed my eyes and the dizzying city, sounds, and fear disappeared. I held my breath. Then I slowly leaned my body forward. I didn’t think about anything. No one came to mind. I didn’t want to leave anything behind. I wouldn’t remember anything. It would end just like this. 

 

That’s when my phone rang. I snapped out of it like waking up from a faraway dream. The thoughts I had while I was blanking out all went back to their proper places. I took out my phone. It was Yoongi.
