Jungkook: 26 July Year 22

I was at the bus stop when I snapped out of it. I turned around to see how far I had walked, but I couldn’t even see the hospital anymore. I waited for the bus and got on. The bus was headed in that direction. I didn’t plan to go there or anything, but maybe my heart knew it. My heart knew that I had to go back to that place. I had to confirm the meaning of what happened there. I had a thought while looking at the summer weather outside the bus window. Can I trust my friends?

 

The bus immediately departed after I got off. Dust went flying. I walked slowly to the site of the accident. That night came back to me. The image of the large moon hanging in the sky, the world that had turned inside out, the headlights I saw coming at me from behind, the shape of the car as it passed me and disappeared, and the red taillights. The oddly familiar engine sound. 

 

I laid on the asphalt like I did that day. I twisted my head and looked up at the sky. It was getting dark, but I couldn’t see the moon. Even though it’s a secluded road, I could be in another accident if a car comes and doesn’t see me. While thinking that, I asked myself a question again. If I can’t trust my friends, then who do I have to trust?
