Taehyung: 30 April Year 22

For a moment, I was so shocked that I couldn’t move. I could see Seokjin sitting in his car in the distance. I heard from Namjoon that Seokjin had been busy running around everywhere, but this was the first time I saw his face. He searched for something on his phone and then scrunched his face up. That in itself wasn’t strange. It also wasn’t just that some part of his face had changed from the past. I can’t really explain what exactly it was that gave me such a big shock. It was cold. It was dry. It was empty. Even those words aren’t sufficient enough to explain the expression on Seokjin’s face. No, they weren’t even similar. It was spring, but I felt a deep chill. I started shaking without realizing it. Seokjin was making the exact face that I had seen in my dream. 

 

I turned my head because I saw Jungkook come around the corner. He looked around urgently as he ran across the alleyway. After he was gone, Seokjin opened the door and got out of the car in a kind of irritated way. I couldn’t quite hear because he was far away, but just by the shape of his mouth it seemed like he was annoyingly muttering, “I got it.” He walked up to a motel that was down the street and dropped something. Then he gazed at the direction Jungkook ran off to.
