Jimin: 6 April Year 11

I walked out of the Grass and Flower Arboretum main gate alone. I felt good even though the weather was cloudy and a little cold. It was a school picnic day, but my parents were busy. I sulked a little at first because of that. But then I received compliments at the flower drawing contest, and my friends’ moms told me I was so mature. I felt a little cool after that.

 

“Jimin, wait here. I’ll come back shortly,” the teacher told me when we left the arboretum after the end of the picnic, but I didn’t wait. I had the confidence to go by myself even though I was alone. With two hands firmly holding on to my bag straps, I walked maturely. It seemed like everyone was staring at me, so I straightened my shoulders more. It started raining, and I walked in it for a while. My friends and their moms were all gone, there was no one to watch over me, and my legs hurt. I covered my head with my bag and squatted under a tree. The rain got stronger little by little, and there wasn’t anyone walking around outside. Eventually, I started running in the rain. I didn’t see houses or stores. And then I arrived at the arboretum back gate. The side door was open, and inside I saw something that looked like a warehouse.
