Yoongi: 23 June Year 22

I unlocked my phone after noticing that I had received a chat room notification. It had become dark outside at some point. It wasn’t easy gathering up all the music I had scribbled down until now. I gathered up and classified the melodies that had survived my spontaneous fires and those that were left in my memories. Surprisingly, it was mostly stuff I had made in the storage classroom. Thinking back, it wasn’t like I had done a lot of songwriting at that time. The me of that time, or any time really, was always running away from music.   

 

As I opened the chat room, I noticed there had already been a lot of conversation. Contrary to my expectations, it was Jimin who made the chat room. It seemed as if they were in the middle of a conversation when Jimin invited me. Taehyung asked everyone, “Do you know what Map of the Soul is?” Hoseok’s response came a bit later. “What’s that?” Taehyung responded, “If I knew that would I have asked?” Something like that. “But why are you asking?” That kind of conversation went on for a while before Jimin explained the full story. He went to the hospital and happened to run into Seokjin by chance. Seokjin had told him that he was looking for Map of the Soul.

 

Namjoon made an appearance a bit after that. He said that Seokjin had come to him and asked him if he knew anything about Map of the Soul. Seokjin had said that Map of the Soul was the key to ending all of this. The conversation died for a while. Everyone was probably lost in thought. What is it that Seokjin has to end? Everyone was guessing why Seokjin had been acting so strangely lately. Would Seokjin get better if he found whatever Map of the Soul was? What exactly is it and where can you find it? 

 

After a while, the conversation turned to this. Why wasn’t Jungkook invited to this chatroom? Jimin answered,” I thought about it, but we all know Jungkook is still hurt.” Jimin’s words were uncertain as if he lacked confidence. I suddenly wondered why Jimin had gone to the hospital. How could he have the heart to go there after being trapped there for so long? I reopened the chat room that I had closed and wrote, “That’s right. Good job. Let Jungkook rest a little longer.”
